A versatile that fills the long-open Φ32mm hole in the very middle.

The masterpiece completing the next-generation bait strategy is the third-generation STEEZ SV TW equipped with a φ32mm SV BOOST spool.

This third generation does not have a zero adjuster (former mechanical brake). By the time of the second generation 16 STEEZ, DAIWA reels already completed brake adjustment solely with the MAGFORCE dial. The third generation has removed the mechanism formerly called mechanical brake, transforming into a sub-brake-less structure.

Its high-rigidity and compact body features HYPERDRIVE DESIGN, which controls winding and durability. Casting performance has also been greatly improved, with G1 duralumin φ32mm SV BOOST spool, TWS, and sub-brake-less mechanisms conforming to DAIWA's long-pursued and finally completed casting design philosophy, ULTIMATECASTING DESIGN.

TWS

Aiming to expand the line release resistance during casting, i.e., the resistance-free range, the unique technology TWS has been refined.

DAIWA adopts appropriate TWS for each spool size. The 24STEEZ SV TW100 is developed as a dedicated TWS (left photo) for this spool size.

Although the opening width is narrower than the TWS (right photo) equipped on the 16STEEZ SV TW, the development of tapered shape has expanded the opening by 27% compared to conventional, maximizing line release performance through the synergistic effect with the special surface DLC treatment, in addition to expanding the resistance-free range.


G1 duralumin spool

A special aluminum alloy called G1 duralumin, which exhibits twice the strength of magnesium and 1.3 times that of duralumin. Its lightweight and excellent rigidity make it suitable for aerospace structures and precision equipment, classified as a lightweight alloy grade.

To maintain the same strength, the spool's winding surface can be made thinner without machining, ensuring high rotational response and precise rotation due to high rigidity, resulting in outstanding performance.


Zero shaft

The spool is supported only by BB (ball bearings). Removing the shaft eliminates unnecessary resistance, achieving an ideal spool rotation.

This is a high-power engine prioritizing casting performance.







Oil injection cap

Replaces the zero adjuster with an oil injection cap. Sub-brake-less configuration.

Using the included special tool, the cap can be removed for oiling and maintenance of the pinion ball bearing.


Star drag

Equipped with a star drag (right photo) for improved operability. The star drag shape has been made thinner than the conventional (left photo). The ratchet structure has also been redesigned, with attention to the adjustment click sound, achieving a finely responsive, crisp adjustment click.


Drag pull click

Aiming for top-class smooth operation that responds to fish pulls, not only the drag but also the smooth operation of the line system during fish pulls is designed to be the best in class.

Additionally, it features a drag pull click. When a fish suddenly pulls, it informs the angler of the line system's critical point through sound, providing a significant advantage.

HYPERDRIVE DIGIGEAR

A newly designed gear system in bait (dual-axis) reels that pursues strong, smooth rotation. The gear tooth module (size) that directly affects durability is kept small to increase mesh rate, ensuring long-lasting initial smoothness, a unique DAIWA technology.


HYPER DOUBLE SUPPORT

A drive support system that maintains smoothness and achieves strong, lightweight winding. It supports both ends of the pinion gear with two ball bearings, reducing input from the handle, allowing powerful and light winding even under load.


HYPER ARMED HOUSING AL)

A housing system that internally supports the structure with high rigidity and high precision, producing a refined winding feel and power. Using metal materials for the frame is essential, and combined with side plates and set plates, it enables the basic performance to be maintained longer. In this series, the frame and gear side side plates are made of aluminum alloy, making it a tough housing suitable for power games.


HYPER TOUGH CLUTCH
