The STEEZ bait reel lineup includes spool diameters in 2mm increments.

A versatile product filling the long-open Φ32mm hole in the center.

The third generation STEEZ SV TW equipped with a φ32mm SV BOOST spool is a masterpiece that completes the next-generation bait strategy.

This third generation does not have a zero adjuster (former mechanical brake). By the time of the second generation 16STEEZ, DAIWA reels already completed brake adjustment solely with the MAGFORCE dial. The third generation has removed the mechanism formerly called the mechanical brake, transforming into a sub-brake-less structure.

Its high-rigidity and compact body incorporate HYPERDRIVE DESIGN, which governs winding and durability. Casting performance has also been greatly improved, with G1 duralumin φ32mm SV BOOST spool, TWS, and sub-brake-less mechanisms conforming to DAIWA’s long-pursued and finally completed casting design philosophy, ULTIMATECASTING DESIGN.

TWS

Aiming to expand the resistance to line release during casting, i.e., the resistance-free range, the unique technology TWS has been refined.

DAIWA adopts appropriate TWS for each spool size. The 24STEEZ SV TW100 was developed as a dedicated TWS (left photo) for this spool size.

Although the opening width is narrower than the TWS (right photo) installed in the 16STEEZ SV TW, the development of a tapered shape has expanded the opening by 27% compared to conventional models. In addition to expanding the resistance-free range, the synergistic effect with the special surface treatment DLC maximizes line release performance.


G1 duralumin spool

A special aluminum alloy called G1 duralumin, which exhibits twice the strength of magnesium and 1.3 times that of duralumin. Its lightweight and excellent rigidity make it suitable for aerospace structural materials and precision equipment, classified as a lightweight alloy.

To maintain the same strength, the spool’s winding surface is only thinned without boring, allowing for ample strength. The lightweight contributes to high responsiveness in rotation, and the high rigidity results in precise, unparalleled rotation.


Zero shaft

The spool is supported only by BB (ball bearings). Removing the shaft eliminates unnecessary resistance, achieving an ideal spool rotation.

This is a high-power engine optimized for casting performance.







Oil injection cap

Replacing the zero adjuster, an oil injection cap is installed. It is a sub-brake-less design.

Using the included special tool, the cap can be removed for oiling and maintenance of the pinion ball bearing.


Star drag

To pursue operability, a star drag (right photo) is installed. It has been made thinner than the conventional star drag (left photo). The ratchet structure has also been redesigned. Attention was paid to the adjustment sound of one click, achieving a finely resonant star drag adjustment click sound.


Drag pull click

Aiming for top-class smooth operation that responds to fish pulling, not only the drag but also the smooth operation during fish pulls is designed to be the best in class.

Additionally, a drag pull click has been installed. It alerts the angler to sudden fish runs by sound, providing a significant advantage.

HYPERDRIVE DESIGN









HYPERDRIVE DIGIGEAR

A newly designed gear system in bait (dual-axis) reels that pursues strong, smooth rotation. The gear module (size) directly linked to durability is not reduced, achieving increased mesh rate, and maintaining initial smoothness for a long time, a technology unique to DAIWA.


HYPER DOUBLE SUPPORT

A drive support system that realizes sustained smoothness, strength, and light winding. By supporting both ends of the pinion gear with two ball bearings, it reduces input from the handle, enabling powerful and light winding even under load.


HYPER ARMED HOUSING AL)

A housing system that internally supports the structure with high rigidity and high precision, producing a refined winding feel and power. Using metal materials for the frame is essential, and in combination with side plates and set plates, it allows the basic performance to be maintained longer. In this series, the frame and gear side side plates are made of aluminum alloy, making it a tough housing suitable for power games.


HYPER TOUGH CLUTCH

A clutch system with excellent on-off performance that continues to slide thousands or tens of thousands of times, with minimal trouble even in highly saline seawater environments. It has achieved a 99% reduction in seizing repairs in harsh salt scenes, boasting cutting-edge insulation structure.
