STEZE bait reels are lineup with spool diameters in 2mm increments.

At the very center, filling the long-opened Φ32mm hole is the versatile.

The masterpiece completing the next-generation bait strategy is the third generation STEEZ SV TW equipped with a φ32mm SV BOOST spool.

This third generation does not have a zero adjuster (former mechanical brake). By the second generation 16STEEZ, DAIWA reels already completed brake adjustment solely with the MAGFORCE dial. The third generation has removed the mechanism formerly called mechanical brake, transforming into a sub-brake-less structure.

Installed with HYPERDRIVE DESIGN, which governs winding and durability, in its high-rigidity and compact body. Casting performance has also been greatly improved, with G1 duralumin φ32mm SV BOOST spool, TWS, and sub-brake-less mechanisms conforming to DAIWA’s long-pursued and finally completed casting design philosophy, ULTIMATECASTING DESIGN.

TWS

With the aim of expanding the resistance to line release during casting, i.e., the resistance-free range, TWS, a unique technology, has been refined.

DAIWA adopts appropriate TWS for each spool size. The 24STEEZ SV TW100 was developed as a dedicated TWS (left photo) for this spool size.

Despite having a narrower opening than the TWS (right photo) installed in the 16STEEZ SV TW, the development of a tapered shape has expanded the opening by 27% compared to conventional, and combined with special surface treatment DLC, maximized line release performance through synergistic effects.

G1 duralumin spool

A special aluminum alloy called G1 duralumin, which exhibits twice the strength of magnesium and 1.3 times that of duralumin. Its lightweight and excellent rigidity material is used in aircraft structural materials and precision equipment, among others.

To maintain the same strength, the spool can be made thinner without machining, maintaining high strength. The lightness results in high rotational response, and the precise rotation supported by high rigidity is outstanding.

Zero shaft

The spool is supported only by BB. Removing the shaft eliminates unnecessary resistance, achieving ideal spool rotation.

In other words, it is a high-power engine prioritizing casting performance.

Oil injection cap

Replaces the zero adjuster with an oil injection cap. Sub-brake-less configuration.

Using the included special tool, the cap can be removed for oiling and maintenance of the pinion ball bearing.

Star drag

To pursue operability, a star drag is installed (right photo). The shape has been made thinner than the conventional star drag (left photo). The ratchet structure has also been reviewed. Attention to the adjustment click sound of one click. Achieves a finely resonant star drag adjustment click sound.

Drag pull click

Pursuing high drag performance to catch big fish, aiming for the top class in smooth operation that follows the fish’s pull, not just the drag.

Also equipped with a drag pull click. When the fish suddenly pulls, it informs the angler of the critical line system tension through sound, providing a significant advantage.

HYPERDRIVE DESIGN

HYPERDRIVE DIGIGEAR

A newly designed gear system in bait (dual-axis) reels that pursues sustained strong and smooth rotation. The gear module (size) directly related to durability is not reduced, achieving increased mesh ratio, and maintaining initial smoothness for a long time, a DAIWA proprietary technology.

HYPER DOUBLE SUPPORT

A drive support system that sustains smoothness and realizes strong and lightweight winding. Supports both ends of the pinion gear with two ball bearings for high precision, reducing input from the handle, allowing powerful and light winding even under load.

HYPER ARMED HOUSING AL

A housing system that internally supports the structure with high rigidity and high precision, producing a delicate winding feel and power. Using metal materials for the essential frame is necessary, and in combination with side plates and set plates, it enables the basic performance to be maintained longer. In this series, the frame and gear side side plates are made of aluminum alloy, making it a tough housing suitable for power games.

HYPER TOUGH CLUTCH

A clutch system with excellent insulation structure that continues to slide thousands or tens of thousands of times with sharp on/off performance, and is highly resistant to trouble even in seawater with high salinity. It has already reduced the number of sticking repairs in harsh salt environments by 99% compared to our previous models.
