DAIWA CONNECTED consists of 'electric mobile setting' and 'DAIWA connecting system,' representing reels connected to smartphones through these two technologies. The 'DAIWA connecting system,' one of DAIWA CONNECTED's features, is installed on baitcasting reels and wakasagi reels. Reels with a wireless connection support the 'DAIWA connecting system,' which is indicated by '-C' at the end of the product name. By linking with these products, users can perform firmware updates and check data obtained from the reel. Developed a new IM unit exclusive for IM Z TW100-C. Improved basic performance including waterproofing, processing speed, and battery life. In terms of user interface, significantly enhanced operability by improving the ease of pressing and click feeling of the control switch, which was a common user request among IM Z users.

High operability

The overall form has been made more compact and low-profile, with the reel weight reduced to 205g. The full aluminum housing achieves a balance of the fundamental performance required for baitcasting reels, such as a solid feel and smooth rotation.

HYPER ARMED HOUSING FULL AL

In bait and double-axle reel structures, the gear that drives the mechanism is the heart, while the frame is the skeleton. The solid frame, which supports the gear with smooth rotation, high-precision spool, and durable clutch system, is essential for optimal performance. In this series, all parts of the frame, gear side side plate, handle side, and dial side set plate are made from die-cast aluminum alloy with high-precision machining, demonstrating unwavering rigidity. This internal structure supports high rigidity and high precision, providing a refined winding feel and high power through a robust housing system.

High-strength, high-precision solid pinion gear

In IM Z TW100-C, a solid pinion gear (left image) was adopted, which improves gear strength by approximately 23% compared to the conventional structure (right image). This is a unique DAIWA mechanism that does not have a spool shaft, enabling higher gear ratios and smooth rotation performance.

φ34mm G1 duralumin IM spool

The quick spool start characteristic of the φ34mm spool is a feature of the 100 series. As a result, combined with the Intelligent Magforce, it enhances a wide dynamic brake range and high-precision brake control technology. The spool unit alone weighs 8.7g. Compared to the spool used in the MAG-Z BOOST-equipped 22 ZILLION TW HD1000, it achieves about 34% weight reduction. This not only improves responsiveness but also significantly expands the range of brake characteristic adjustments.

New TWS with approximately 31% larger opening

Aiming to expand the resistance-free range during line release at cast, the unique TWS technology has been refined. The new tapered TWS designed for φ34mm/24mm width has an approximately 31% larger opening compared to the previous size. This provides even better line release performance and a casting feel that makes you want to throw again and again.

Improved battery life

In IM Z TW100-C, not only has the digital control brake's accuracy been improved, but battery life has also been extended through energy-saving measures. With the new IM unit, approximately 1,000 casts can be made on a full charge. These figures are based on our testing standards aligned with existing market products and may vary depending on usage; they are not guaranteed. When starting from a depleted battery, a full charge takes about 90 minutes. When the battery runs out, the brake force is fixed at MAX. Even if the battery is exhausted, casting and winding are still possible. No log data can be obtained when the battery is empty.

Battery equipped

There is a connection terminal behind the casting side plate. By opening and closing the battery cap on the connection terminal and firmly inserting the included charging cable straight into the terminal, charging is possible. The connection terminal is waterproof. Please ensure the device is dry during charging. Do not charge if the device is wet. After charging, close the battery cap before use.
