Enlarging the drive gear diameter improves power and rotational durability. It maintains powerful winding during fights and line recovery, and sustains initial rotational performance over a long period, achieving high-level fishing durability in IMPULT's history.

Improved waterproofness with screwless monocoque body

The airtightness is improved by a screwless monocoque body with no gaps, and the adoption of a magnetic shield pinion reduces water ingress into the body, significantly enhancing waterproof level.

Design focus

To realize a refined IMPULT with a monocoque body, the 2500XH-LBD, 3000LBD, and 3000XH-LBD emphasize silver to give a "mechanical" impression. For the competition LBD, a design emphasizing a red lever while following traditional competition design creates a distinctive appearance.

Smooth anti-reverse free

The monocoque body also improves the rotation performance during LB reel rotor reverse. The support accuracy of the spool shaft is increased, reducing wobble during reverse. The silky rotation remains consistent during reverse, providing performance surpassing one-way oscillation, ensuring smooth anti-reverse free.

Drive gear material

Adopts ultra duralumin aluminum machined tough Digi gear with special surface treatment, increasing surface hardness and reducing deformation under high load. Equipped on all items.

MONOCOQUE BODY

Traditional spinning reels support the drive gear at both ends with a body and body cover fixed by screws. To improve precision and rigidity further, the body cover was eliminated, and a high-precision plate was directly screwed into the body, creating a monocoque body. This increases gear support accuracy, rigidity, and airtightness. It also allows for maximum enlargement of the drive gear by utilizing space previously occupied by screws.

MAGSEALED

Daiwa's unique waterproof structure creates a magnetic oil barrier between the body and rotor to block intrusion of seawater, dust, etc. Since the body and rotor are contactless, rotation remains smooth and light, maintaining initial rotational performance over a long period.

ZAION

A carbon resin woven with high-density carbon fibers, lightweight, strong, and highly resistant to corrosion.
