Fully metal (AL) monocoque body

Traditional spinning reels support the drive gear at both ends with the body and body cover, fixed with several screws. To improve accuracy and rigidity, the body cover was eliminated, and a high-precision plate was directly screwed into the body for fixation, creating a monocoque body. This increases gear support accuracy, rigidity, and airtightness. Additionally, space previously occupied by screws was utilized to enlarge the drive gear. "Monocoque" means "single shell." Its shape, symbolizing the strength of a shell of a clam, breaks conventional reel structure. In CALDIA SW, considering lightweightness backed by sufficient rigidity, a balanced design targeting each reel size is achieved.

Magshield

Waterproof structure that creates a magnetic oil wall between the body and rotor to block intrusion of seawater and dust. Since the body and rotor are contactless, smooth rotation and initial performance are maintained over a long period.


Fully metal (AL) monocoque body

To further improve accuracy and rigidity, the body cover was eliminated, and a high-precision plate was directly screwed into the body, creating a monocoque body. This increases gear support accuracy, rigidity, and airtightness.


ATD

Follows the fish's pull to control drag force, not giving the fish the lead. To utilize this feature, a loose drag setting is effective. When hooking, it works strongly, but always maintains drag against the fish's pull. This setting allows landing even large fish without excessive thrashing.
