Lightness is sensitivity "LIGHT MONSTER".

A compact and lightweight electric reel with high power and comfortable operation, thoroughly pursued. The weight of 560g is lightweight for handheld operation, which enhances sensitivity. The torque and instant power are achieved with the MAGMAX motor, and basic performance is refined with smooth and continuous ATD, resulting in a significant power upgrade. For operability, a one-hand comfortable operation aluminum JOG power lever is adopted. It allows smooth operation even with wet fingers, enabling the angler to handle棚取り (shelf setting),誘い (lure action), slow winding, and hooking as desired.

Comfortable handheld. Lightweight, compact, and refined form.

Despite being made of an aluminum frame with excellent rigidity and heat dissipation, the weight has been successfully reduced by 75g compared to previous models, to 560g. This lightness provides comfort during handheld operation and increases the angler's concentration. As a result, sensitivity at the fingertips is improved, transmitted through the rod and line. Even the slightest information from underwater can be captured accurately. This is the Light Monster, enabling catches that were previously impossible.

JOG power lever

The position of the power lever has been moved to the center of the body, and its shape changed from a lever to a jog dial style, allowing the angler to wind or turn the clutch on/off with just the thumb of the hand holding the rod, freeing the other hand from operation. When gripping the rod, the thumb naturally rests on the upper part of the body, making it ergonomically comfortable. The "JOG power lever" enables free and precise operation with just one thumb.

Fall brake dial

The "fall brake dial" allows instant setting of the drop speed of the rig. Made of aluminum, it enables delicate operation even with wet fingers. In drop shot fishing, it ensures stable fall control to improve bait attachment during descent, and in squid fishing, it helps catch squid bites in mid-water reactions.


Dot LCD

A large-character display with excellent visibility in the field, using a dot LCD that remains clear even under direct sunlight with polarized glasses. Equipped with convenient functions such as line input procedures and switching between Japanese and English. Clear menu announcements and various settings that do not require a manual. To access the menu screen, press "PICKUP" and "MEMO" simultaneously for 2 seconds.


Magshield ball bearing

A waterproof and durable structure unique to Daiwa that creates a magnetic oil wall to block intrusion of seawater, dust, etc., maintaining smooth initial rotation performance over a long period. This technology is applied to the ball bearings, which are critical for rotation performance, in the "Magshield ball bearing" used in the most salt-prone and difficult-to-maintain spool shaft bearing area. It maintains spool free performance and winding force, ensuring comfortable initial performance over time.


Magmite structure & FF structure

The Magmite structure maximizes motor power within the limited space inside the electric reel. It achieves maximum power and speed in a small space. Additionally, it improves motor cooling efficiency, contributing to further motor drive efficiency. By placing the motor in front of the spool, the reel is designed with a low profile, making it easier to handle and use. The FF structure also incorporates a level wind between the motor and spool for further compactness.
