TECHNOLOGY

LIGHT & TOUGH

A commitment to thorough lightweight design in details such as body, spool, and handle. The gear, which is the heart of the reel, and the material of the body that encases it have evolved to become more durable. This is the new standard for Daiwa's compact spinning reels, called LT.

Magshield

Magshield, based on the concept of "blocking liquids with liquids," uses magnetic force to create a semi-permanent barrier of Mag oil that prevents seawater and dust from entering the reel interior. It is Daiwa's unique technology.

Tough Digigear

Adopts the "Tough Digigear" that maintains smooth rotation for longer periods. It achieves near-noise-free rotation and responds accurately to the delicate fingertips of anglers.

ATD

Controls drag force in response to fish pulling, preventing the fish from gaining the lead. For this feature, a loose drag setting is effective. During hooking, it works strongly, but it always maintains the drag against the fish's pull, allowing for landing even large fish without excessive thrashing.

Air Rotor
