This product is primarily composed of stone powder. When mixed with the special sealer material, it prevents cracks in the joints of boards.
For EM Diatomaceous Earth and EM Diatomaceous Earth Flat, you must use EMP (Special Putty Material).
* Commercially available putty materials may cause cracks, uneven coloring, or show through.
Preparation of EMP (Special Putty Material):
1. Prepare EMP (Special Putty Material) and EMS (3x diluted solution [ratio of 1 part sealer to 2 parts clean water]).
(It is convenient to prepare a container, such as a 2L plastic bottle, in advance and make the 3x diluted solution.)
2. Use a small mixer or similar tool to knead thoroughly to avoid lumps.
3. One kilogram of EMP (Special Putty Material) can be used to apply putty to approximately 10m of joint area (estimated at about 6L).
Joint Treatment - 1st Application (for filling joints):
1. The joint material for the first application is stiff. Knead 1kg of EMP (Special Putty Material) with 400cc of EMS (3x diluted solution). (2L of 3x diluted solution is required per bag.)
2. Treat the screw heads and apply the putty to the joint area.
3. Allow to dry.
Reinforcement with Fiber Tape:
1. Use commercially available fiberglass tape and apply it to the joint area. (Nylon tapes for cross/paint undercoats, etc., for painting are not suitable.)
Joint Treatment - 2nd Application (for leveling):
1. The putty material for the second application is softer. Knead 1kg of EMP (Special Putty Material) with 500cc of EMS (3x diluted solution). (2.5L of 3x diluted solution is required per bag.)
2. Apply the putty with a width that covers the fiberglass tape.
3. Allow to dry completely. (If drying is insufficient, uneven coloring or show-through may occur after finishing.)
4. If the putty shrinks, apply more putty.
[Example Construction Method]
For plasterboard substrates: Use a 12.5mm thick beveled edge (V-cut).
