The sound that feels somewhat nostalgic, and melodies that are familiar enough to hum along to without noticing, are beautiful. No matter which track you listen to, it’s as if the scenes unfold vividly before your eyes. In this work, the rhythm section, which has become even more substantial, hints at the deepening of Bohemian Voodoo’s music.
The powerful intro of track ② 'Regal Grace' leaves a strong impression, and it strongly encourages us as if it were a hymn to life. The atmosphere changes dramatically, and the floating phrases create a grand soundscape in track ③ 'Mystic'. Like fireworks blooming suddenly in the night sky, the vibrant melody lines dance in track ⑤ 'Hanabi Yakei', and the following track ⑥ 'Ame Hare' features the shining guitar and piano interplay characteristic of Bohemian Voodoo. ⑦ 'Cradle' is a re-performance of a song included in their 2010 debut album 'Lapis Lazuli'. With a new arrangement, it reflects the musical maturity of Bohemian Voodoo, and is also a delightful treat for longtime fans. ⑧ 'Bayfront Avenue' also evokes the early days of Bohemian Voodoo, with a refreshing groove rich in fusion elements. The title track ⑩ 'Crossing' overflows with heartfelt storytelling. All the tracks are excellent songs.
