The spring, which absorbs impact and compresses, tries to extend with the same force as when it compressed, so the shock absorber (damper) generates damping force to control expansion and contraction.
The springs alone cannot support the vehicle and it would wobble, so the shock absorber stabilizes it.
As the mileage increases and shock absorbers age, they develop a condition called "nuke" where the damping force is no longer effective.
To drive safely, you need shock absorbers that improve road tracking and provide proper damping.
In some cases, it may be cheaper to replace the entire assembly of a "nuked" shock absorber.
Replacing it with a cost-effective aftermarket part is the best choice.
This product includes not only the shock absorbers but also the springs, so you can replace the assembly at a great value.
It also provides driving stability, so instead of replacing only one side of the "nuked" shock absorber, it is safer to replace them as a set of two.
