＊サーキットテスターによる点検方法＊
セルモーターはコイルに電気を流して回るのでコイルの抵抗値があります。
その抵抗値が∞だったり0だったりすると動きません。
∞なら断線、0ならショートが疑えます。
リレーは電磁石でスイッチを開閉する装置です。
よって一次側に電気を流すと電磁石が動き、二次側のスイッチの鉄片が動いてONとなります。
なのでリレーをON/OFFして「カチカチ」言うのは、その電磁石が動いてスイッチ部が動いている音です。
テスターで測るのはその一次側の電磁石の抵抗値と二次側の導通。
電磁石はコイルなので抵抗値があります。
抵抗値が∞なら断線が疑われ0ならショートしています。
二次側は電磁石が動作していないときには∞で、動作したら0です。
それ以外の場合リレーの内部接点が疑われます。
セルモーターは電気を機械的な動きに変換して回るので機械的に回らないと回りません。
具体的には軸受メタルが焼き付いていると回らない等。
また電気を流す為のブラシ部分の劣化や破損などの場合も動作しません。
セルモーターは電気的に故障していないかを見て、焼き付きなどが無いかご確認下さい。
バッテリーの電圧が正常である事もご確認をお願い致します。
バッテリーからの電気配線、ハーネスも切れていないかテスターでのご確認をお願い致します。
古い電線は劣化により抵抗値が大きくなったり切れたりする場合が御座います。
サービスマニュアルは、「抵抗値」や測り方、外し方などが乗っている「説明書」なので、お手元にご用意の上、交換作業並びに点検作業をお願い致します。

「2008年式のXTZ125に換装しました。
いまのところ問題なく、セルが回ります。
セルスタートのスイッチを押しても、セルが回らず、カチカチと音がするだけの場合
スターターリレーの故障の場合があることを覚えました。

・CBR CX CRF GL 650 1100 1200 1500 NX250 NT650等に。
スターターリレーには大きな電流が流れる為に比較的良く壊れる部品です。
・始動スイッチを押しても「カチカチ」と音がせずセルモーターが回らない場合、スターターリレーの導通不良が考えられます。
・スターターリレーの「カチ・カチ 」という作動音がしている場合、セルモーターの駆動系部分の不具合、又はスターターリレーの接点の不良が考えられます。
・壊れていなくても、突然の故障時に予備として手元にあると安心です。
定格電圧、電流 ：12Ｖ 3Ａ ＊＊＊（注）＊B端子とＭ端子に極性は御座いませんので、どちらに バッテリー の+を接続しても正常に動作致します。
