In Toyota Aqua vehicles that use liquid cooling with coolant, the radiator itself is equipped with an electric fan.
The electric fan operates to prevent the coolant temperature from rising due to engine heat during low-speed driving in traffic jams where airflow to the radiator is difficult, or during hot summer weather, thereby maintaining the proper temperature.
If the electric fan motor fails and stops working, the coolant temperature will rise, leading to overheating and potential failure.
If the water temperature gauge indicates overheating but there is no decrease in coolant, and the thermostat shows no abnormalities, the electric fan may not be operating, and the fan motor may need inspection.
