It plays an important role in controlling the on and off of the electric fan at a set temperature, preventing engine overheating and maintaining the optimal temperature to prevent engine blowouts.
An electric fan is equipped at the front of the radiator.
The electric fan operates to prevent the coolant temperature from rising due to engine heat during low-speed driving when airflow to the radiator is difficult, or during hot summer days.
If the thermoswitch fails and stops working, the coolant temperature will rise, leading to overheating and causing failures such as blown head gaskets.
If the water temperature gauge indicates overheating but there is no decrease in coolant, and the thermostat shows no abnormalities, the electric fan may not be operating.
These are durable parts and are unlikely to break easily, but regular inspection and replacement will ensure peace of mind without trouble.
