「美味しい氷を作る」活性炭で水道水に含まれる不純物、カルキ（塩素）を取り除き、カルキの匂いがなくなり美味しい氷ができます。
水道水以外を使用した場合は、水が塩素殺菌されていないため、給水タンクや浄水フィルタに雑菌が繁殖しやすくなります。
「お手入れの目安」1週間に1回程度（水道水で製氷している場合）。
水道水以外の場合は雑菌が繁殖しやすくなるため、3日に1回程度を目安にしてください。
お手入れをせずに使っていると、氷がカルキ臭くなってしまったり、浄水フィルターが目詰まりして製氷ができなくなったりします。
「浄水フィルターの交換目安」約3、4年に1回程度。
浄水フィルターの中には活性炭が入っているため、外側の不織布が濡れると中の活性炭が透けて見えることがあります。
お手入れをしても黒い汚れや、ヌメリなどが取れない場合は、カビや雑菌が繁殖している可能性があるため、交換することをおすすめします。
「ご注意」洗剤などを使用して浄水フィルターを洗ってしまった場合は、活性炭などに洗剤の成分などが染み込み残っている可能性があります。
継続して使用せずに新しい浄水フィルターに買い替えてください。
浄水フィルターが破れた場合は、交換時期の目安に関わらず、すぐにお取替えください。
