Due to their structure, the Monkey 125 and GROM have a long protruding shift shaft from the engine, and without support, the shaft often bends each time the pedal is pressed.
By installing a shift guide, you can improve the shift feeling, reduce the bending of the gear shaft, and achieve comfortable shifting operation.

2: "Benefits of Installing a Shift Guide" When the shift guide is not installed, there is some play during shifting, but with the shift guide installed, you can smoothly shift into the next gear with a satisfying "click," allowing for stress-free riding.
The tactile feedback during operation becomes clearer, making it easier to find neutral and facilitating quick up and down shifts.
Another great point is that the increased "click" feeling does not make gear engagement heavier.

4: "Installation Method" (1) Remove the sprocket cover: Loosen the two bolts securing the sprocket cover and remove it from the motorcycle.
*We recommend using a deep socket as a regular socket may interfere with the step.
(2) Remove the shift link: Loosen the bolt securing the shift link to the gear shaft and remove it.
*If your vehicle model does not have a mark, it is recommended to mark the position where the gear shaft is inserted for easier reassembly later.
(3) Install the shift guide: Remove the two bolts at the bottom of the gear shaft, then set the collar, shift guide, and cap bolt in that order and tighten with a hex wrench.
(4) Reassemble: Reattach the shift link to the gear shaft and secure it with the bolt, then finally reinstall the cover to complete the installation.
*If you have the genuine step, the gear shaft bolt may interfere with the shift guide. In such cases, please replace it with the included flange hex bolt.
