Direct ignition is an ignition device for internal combustion engines that directly supplies the current generated by the ignition coil to the spark plug without going through a distributor.
Its characteristic is a structure with a short distance from the ignition coil to the spark plug, minimizing voltage loss.
It is a system that has better combustion efficiency, provides stronger torque, and improves fuel economy compared to mechanical systems that use a distributor.

As it works hard to run the car, it is recommended to replace it with a new one when the mileage reaches approximately 100,000 km to avoid trouble.
If the ignition coil does not function properly, the following symptoms may occur.
Symptoms such as hesitation during acceleration, inability to rev smoothly, unstable idling leading to stalling, and difficulty starting the engine despite no issues with the battery or starter motor may occur.

In a cramped engine bay, increased resistance in the internal copper wiring due to aging can prevent the generation of high voltage, or cause breakage due to disconnection, which are causes of failure.
