This product, the HDMI Booster V2 for PC Engine, is a video output converter that allows you to connect your TV and PC Engine by plugging into the "expansion bus" located on the back of the classic PC Engine unit. For example, with earlier PC Engine units (white), connection to the TV was via an "RF switch." Modern TVs often lack this connector, making it very difficult and inconvenient to set up for play. This is a very convenient peripheral device that easily solves these problems for PC Engine game output and play with "modern TVs."
Additionally, the main unit features a switch that allows you to adjust the screen ratio, so you can enjoy games with your preferred screen ratio of standard (4:3) or wide (16:9).
