Montmorillonite is a naturally occurring material formed when magma erupts, turning into fine volcanic ash that settles on the seabed.

Over long periods, it undergoes changes and matures under immense pressure from tectonic shifts.

Among these, Body Clay products use very smooth, domestically produced "clay" as their main ingredient.

Adsorption and Cleansing

Montmorillonite has crystal sizes as small as 1/5000th of a millimeter, comparable to viruses, and is negatively charged. Therefore, it adsorbs positively charged dirt.

Thanks to this adsorptive power and its ultrafine crystals, it effectively captures dirt deep within pores and old keratin without damaging the skin or hair.

Furthermore, Body Clay products also contain moisturizing ingredients.

When the moisturizing ingredients pre-mixed with Montmorillonite come into contact with dirt, they release the moisturizing ingredients and bind with the dirt.
