■ Features
◆ Colac First uses DSS* to absorb water into the stool, softening it appropriately, and bisacodyl to directly stimulate the large intestine, promoting active movement, thereby encouraging smooth bowel movements without strain.
◆ The amount of bisacodyl per tablet is the smallest in the Colac series (2.5 mg), allowing starting with a small dose and gradually adjusting the amount taken.

■ Indications and Effects
- Constipation
- Relief of symptoms associated with constipation:
Head heaviness, feeling of fullness, skin troubles, pimples, loss of appetite (reduced appetite), abdominal bloating, abnormal intestinal fermentation, hemorrhoids

■ Usage and Dosage
Take the following amount before bedtime (or on an empty stomach) with water or lukewarm water.
Start with the minimum dose initially, and gradually increase or decrease based on bowel condition and response.

For ages 15 and older:
- Dose per time: 1–4 tablets
- Frequency: Once daily

For ages 11–14:
- Dose per time: 1–3 tablets
- Frequency: Once daily

For under 11 years old:
- Do not take

＜Note＞
(1) Strictly adhere to the prescribed usage and dosage.
(2) When giving to children, do so under the supervision of a guardian.
(3) Avoid taking within one hour after taking antacids or milk (these may dissolve the medication in the stomach and reduce effectiveness).
(4) Do not chew or crush the tablets; swallow whole. (The medication is coated with a special coating to act in the large intestine.)
(5) How to take out the tablets:
Press firmly on the protrusions of the blister pack to break the aluminum foil on the back and remove the tablet. Do not swallow the blister or foil directly, as it may cause injury to the esophageal mucosa or other accidents.

〔Mechanism of Bowel Movement〕
★ Food ingested through the mouth passes through the digestive tract (stomach and intestines), where it is digested and absorbed, and the remaining waste is expelled as stool over about 1–3 days.
★ The final task of the large intestine is to absorb water from the waste and form stool, then transport it to the anus. Gradual water absorption shapes the stool. If this "transport" process does not proceed well, constipation occurs.

〔Constipation and Lifestyle Habits〕
◆ To relieve constipation, start by reviewing your lifestyle habits.
1. Regular bowel habits:
- Use the toilet at a fixed time each day (after breakfast is ideal).
- Do not suppress the urge to defecate.
2. Improve diet:
- Eat three regular meals daily, including foods high in dietary fiber (vegetables, beans, tubers, seaweed).
- Drink plenty of fluids.
3. Moderate exercise:
- Lack of exercise is a major cause of constipation.
- Engage in moderate exercise, strengthen abdominal muscles, and massage the abdomen.

〔Advice on Taking Colac First〕
① Use the minimum dose (1 tablet) for the first time.
② Although individual differences exist, taking before bed generally shows effects by the next morning (about 6–11 hours later).
③ Once bowel movements improve, reduce the dose or increase the interval between doses to restore normal bowel habits.
