Meditreat is a treatment medication for recurrent vaginal candidiasis, with miconazole nitrate as its main ingredient. Miconazole nitrate kills the fungi responsible for vaginal candidiasis and treats the condition. It is effective against vaginal discharge and itching caused by recurrent vaginal candidiasis in sensitive areas.

**Precautions for Use**
*Do not use if:*
1. You suspect this is your first occurrence. (If symptoms appear for the first time, other diseases may be the cause, and a doctor’s diagnosis is necessary.)
2. You have had allergic reactions to this medication or its ingredients. (Re-exposure may cause allergic symptoms.)
3. You are under 15 years old or over 60 years old. (Those under 15 are more likely experiencing their first episode; those over 60 may have other diseases or co-infections with other fungi.)
4. You are pregnant or think you might be pregnant. (Use with caution and consult a doctor.)
5. You have symptoms such as fever, chills, lower abdominal pain, back or shoulder pain, colored or bloody discharge, fishy odor, cessation of menstruation, irregular or abnormal bleeding from the vagina, ulcers, swelling, or sores in the vagina or vulva. (Other diseases may be involved; a doctor’s diagnosis is needed.)
6. You have been diagnosed with:
- Diabetes mellitus. (Recurrent episodes are likely; consult a doctor.)
7. You are taking anticoagulants such as warfarin. (There may be an increased tendency to bleeding.)
8. You frequently experience recurrent candidiasis (once every 1-2 months or more than twice within 6 months).
9. You are unsure if your condition is a recurrence of vaginal candidiasis. (If unsure, consult a doctor.)

*Do not use on:*
- Areas outside the vagina. (This medication is only effective against infections caused by vaginal fungi.)

*Do not apply other medications to the vulva during use:*
- Non-candidiasis topical medications. (These may worsen symptoms or delay treatment.)

**Consultation**
- Before use, consult a doctor or pharmacist if you:
1. Are under medical treatment. (The medication may affect prescribed drugs or be used concurrently.)
2. Have had allergic reactions to medicines or other substances. (Reactions may occur with this medication.)
3. Are breastfeeding. (Use with caution and consult a healthcare professional.)

- If any of the following symptoms appear after use, discontinue immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist with this instruction leaflet:
- Symptoms outside the vagina: hives, itching.
- Symptoms such as itching, redness, pain, heat sensation, or irritation in the vagina. (These may be allergic reactions or strong pharmacological effects; continued use may worsen symptoms.)

- If no improvement is observed after 3 days of use or if symptoms do not resolve after 6 days, see a doctor. (The condition may be severe or caused by other diseases.)

**Efficacy and Indications**
Recurrent vaginal candidiasis (limited to those diagnosed and treated by a doctor in the past).
*Note:* Vaginal candidiasis is a disease caused by fungi, resulting in vaginal itching, white discharge, redness, heat, and pain.

**Usage and Dosage**
For adults (15 to under 60 years old), insert one suppository into the deep vagina before bedtime once daily. Continue for 6 consecutive days.
If no improvement after 3 days or if symptoms do not disappear after 6 days, consult a doctor.

*Preparation:*
- Take a bath or clean the affected area with lukewarm water before use.

*Age and Dosage:*
- 15 years and older but under 60: 1 suppository, once daily before sleep.
- Under 15 or 60 and over: Do not use.

**Precautions:**
1. Follow the prescribed usage and dosage strictly.
2. If the suppository is soft, refrigerate briefly before use; if too hard, soften it first.
3. Use only inside the vagina.
4. Wash hands thoroughly before and after use.
5. Do not use the applicator (for hygiene reasons).
6. Continue use for 6 days even if symptoms disappear early.
7. Avoid use during menstruation; if menstruation occurs during treatment, stop use and consult a doctor. (The medication may be expelled and less effective during menstruation.)

**How to Remove and Insert the Suppository**
1. Tear off one suppository from the perforation.
2. Separate the two halves and remove the suppository.
3. Insert the suppository into the deep vagina.

**Ingredients and Quantity**
- Active ingredient: Miconazole nitrate 100 mg per suppository, which exhibits strong antibacterial effects against fungi.
- Additive: Hard fat.

**Storage and Handling**
1. Store in a cool, dry place below 30°C, away from direct sunlight. (Since the suppository melts at body temperature, keep refrigerated if possible.)
2. Keep out of reach of children.
3. When storing, place the suppository with the tip downward in the box and store upright as per the mark to prevent deformation.
4. Avoid contact with latex contraceptives such as condoms or pessaries, as they may degrade or break.
5. Do not use after the expiration date.
