[2SHM-CD] ●Jazz legend Wayne Shorter, who passed away in March 2023 at the age of 89. Since emerging in Art Blakey's and Miles Davis' bands, he has consistently led the forefront of the jazz scene and continues to have a profound influence on many musicians even after his death. ●This work is the first installment of a four-part unreleased archive series, planned with the prestigious Blue Note label during his lifetime and supervised by the artist himself. It is his first official posthumous release. The content is the first released live recording by his stable quartet of Danilo Perez (p), John Patitucci (b), and Brian Blade (ds), who have produced numerous legendary performances since their formation in 2001, and it captures their performance at the Stockholm Jazz Festival on October 18, 2014. The incandescent performance, which even evokes a sense of nobility, is captured, allowing you to enjoy the supreme sound from one of the peak periods of his career. ●It is expected that this archive series will be released periodically in the future. It seems we can fully enjoy the precious works he left behind.
