The precise weight balance provides excellent initial response and optimal sliding performance. Utilizing two types of maneuverability—rod work and sinking gravity—the Zero One Semi-Long develops self-propelled actions such as slide and fall from a tension-free state.

By controlling the interval between the initial input for sliding and the auto-fall action, you can create natural誘い (attracting) and feeding timing as desired. The Zero One Semi-Long is a high-tech self-propelled jig that combines the characteristics of both short and long jigs.

Jigs categorized as "long" require significant initial input to produce slide actions. These jigs are specialized to generate large lateral movements, resulting in high appeal power. However, they require strong, consistent rod work, making delicate control of slide width difficult. Additionally, due to their large movement distance, they tend to quickly exit the feeding area, limiting bite opportunities.

The Zero One is designed to initiate movement with minimal force, making slide control easier through variations in rod work strength. It allows for slow slide and fall repetitions near the bottom, or irregular slides through unconventional actions, enabling pitch control tailored to conditions for both誘い (attracting) and feeding, greatly expanding attacking options.

Compared to the Zero One, which excels with quick actions favored by yellowtail and mid-layer predators like amberjack, bluefin, and cutlassfish, the Semi-Long version features enhanced滑走性能 (sliding performance) particularly effective against yellowtail. Its body is shaped slenderly with prominent edges, maintaining a horizontal posture to prevent loss of lateral propulsion.

After誘い (attracting) the target with slide action, the key timing for a bite is when the target attacks. The Zero One's design concept for誘い (attracting) actions is based on:
- Maximizing the duration of誘い (attracting) time
- Utilizing sinking gravity during fall for automatic action
- Maintaining a stable, horizontal posture without rotation

To prevent the leader from being pulled upward and becoming free during fall, the center of gravity is set toward the front. The Zero Edge on the sides disperses water flow alternately, maintaining balance on both sides. All balance adjustments are made to keep the horizontal posture stable during fall.

The body’s larger surface area creates water resistance, slowing the fall and allowing the jig to remain longer within the feeding area. The horizontal falling posture is highly effective in tuna blitzes and is also applicable to bottom-dwelling pelagic fish.
