The Catan series releases a new expansion for the first time in 7 years: "Explorers and Pirates." In this adventure, the "ship" pieces play a major role! Ships can now move freely on the board! Load necessary cargo onto the ships and set sail. Discover spice islands and trade, or find and defeat bandit hideouts, among various missions, allowing you to enjoy a different kind of Catan world than ever before.
*To play "Explorers and Pirates," you need the "Catan: The Settlers" Standard Edition.
*It cannot be combined with the "Portable Carry Case Edition," overseas versions, or versions previously released by other companies.
~What is "Catan: The Settlers"?~
Set on an uninhabited island called Catan, players build settlements (homes) as their bases and develop the entire island from there. The first player to reach 10 points (e.g., 1 point per settlement) wins the game.
Specifically, dice are rolled to produce five types of resources from the island, which are then used to build the next settlement. However, gathering the necessary resources can sometimes be difficult.
In such cases, players can trade resources with opponents. Actively communicating can give you an advantage in the game.
Despite its simple rules that even elementary school children (8 years old) can play, it is a definitive board game that adults also find addictive!
