Product Description
Brand Overview:
G-SHOCK has established a new concept of toughness in watches. Everything began with the passionate belief of the developers to create a watch that cannot be broken even when dropped, challenging the conventional wisdom of the time through a daring and seemingly reckless challenge. Over 200 prototypes were repeatedly tested, and approximately two years were spent in development before the shock-resistant structure was completed. This marked the birth of core technology that embodies toughness. Since then, G-SHOCK has continued to evolve endlessly, pursuing greater toughness in structure, materials, and functions from all aspects.
The G-SHOCK Gravitymaster series, designed with pilots exposed to harsh environments in mind, has been further evolved with new features. It now includes:
- "TRIPLE G RESIST," capable of withstanding three types of gravitational acceleration,
- "Smart Access," allowing intuitive operation of multiple functions,
- and, in response to requests from active pilots, a built-in compass function.
The compass readings are critical information for pilots during emergency missions or unexpected landings to ensure safety. The GW-A1100 model features the latest magnetic sensor, enabling quick and easy orientation measurement. This magnetic sensor has been downsized by 95% compared to previous models, allowing it to be integrated into high-density movements. Additionally, the second hand indicating direction uses carbon fiber for the first time in G-SHOCK, preventing deformation due to shocks and reducing weight to ensure precise operation during various functions.
We also paid particular attention to basic specifications such as operability and visibility. The side buttons are enlarged, and a composite crown made of metal and resin has been adopted to enhance grip. The crown's operation—locking, releasing, pulling, and turning—has been improved. The watch features the largest wide face in the Gravitymaster series at 35.65mm, a four-layer dial design inspired by a "glass cockpit," a three-dimensional analog dial, and large 3D-shaped indexes to improve visibility. The crystal uses anti-reflective coated sapphire glass for easy readability. This evolved Gravitymaster is designed for pilots facing extreme conditions and environments.
※"Cockpit" refers to the display that consolidates various information necessary for aircraft or train operation, such as via LCD screens.
Features and Specifications:
- Triple G Resist (shock-resistant structure, centrifugal gravity resistance, vibration resistance)
- Tough Solar (solar charging system)
- 20 ATM water resistance
- Radio wave reception: supports 6 regions worldwide (Japan, USA, UK, Germany, China)
- Automatic hand position correction
- World Time: displays time for 29 cities (29 time zones, with daylight saving time setting) + UTC (Coordinated Universal Time), with city switching for home time
- Compass measurement function
- Stopwatch
- Timer
- Time alarm
- Battery charge warning function
- Power-saving function (stops movement after a certain period in dark conditions to conserve power)
- Date and day display
- Full auto calendar
- Approximate operation time from full charge without solar power:
- About 6 months with all functions active
- About 22 months in power-saving mode
※ When radio wave reception is not available, the watch operates with standard quartz accuracy (average monthly deviation of ±15 seconds).
