Description
This is a full metal model that adopts the dial colors of the first G-SHOCK model, the "DW-5000C," which was born in 1983. It features red, which is also G-SHOCK's brand color and signifies the passion for continuous challenge; blue, representing high waterproof performance; and yellow, signifying shock resistance. The stainless steel bezel is meticulously crafted through forging, cutting, and polishing processes to create a three-dimensional shape, with the top surface finished in hairline and the bevels in mirror polish. The stainless steel case, like the first model, employs a screw-back case for excellent airtightness. To achieve a shock-resistant structure with full metal construction, cushioning material made of fine resin is implemented between the bezel and the case. Additionally, the band attachment points are designed with a three-pin structure, dispersing the impact applied to the connecting pipes. The metal band pieces are dimpled, inheriting the design of the first model's resin band. Manufacturing is also carried out at "Yamagata Casio," the mother factory that produced the first G-SHOCK.
