With the inclusion of DIGIC 8, Dual Pixel CMOS AF has greatly evolved. Depending on the lens used, focus can be achieved over an area approximately 88% horizontally and 100% vertically of the sensor with up to 143 focus points. For lenses outside this range, focus points are approximately 80% horizontally and vertically, with up to 99 points for high-precision AF.
