The seasonal mackerel, caught at Choshi Port and moderately fatty, is sprinkled one by one with rich umami pure rice cooking sake. Each piece is then grilled over direct flame on both sides, including the skin, and seasoned only with salt and sake.

You can enjoy the characteristic flavor and deliciousness of grilled fish.

It tastes just like grilled salmon flakes.

For the Choshi-produced mackerel, after filleting into two, each piece is sprinkled with rich umami pure rice cooking sake, then grilled over direct flame on both sides, and finally cooked in a can with traditional sea salt from Izu Oshima, pure rice cooking sake, and water.

By using rich umami pure sake made only from rice, rice malt, and sake lees, it reproduces a salt-grilled mackerel with no peculiar fishy taste and full of flavor.

It is intentionally slightly saltier so that one can serve more than two rice bowls worth of side dishes from one can, or about three bowls of ochazuke, or about 15 rice balls.

Since it is grilled over direct flame once with the skin on, you can enjoy the unique flavor and deliciousness of grilled fish.
