アジアでトータル20万枚以上をセールスしている"camomileシリーズ"のベストアルバム。といってもただのベストアルバムではありません。アシアで藤田恵美の"camomile"に火が付いたのは、香港のオーディオファンからでした。シンプルな編成で、とても良い音のアルバムがあり、オーディオチェックに最適というオーディオ誌での紹介からオーディオファンの間で広がって行き、しまいに香港で藤田恵美は『Hi-Fi Queen』と呼ばれるほどになりました。それでは、日本でもというわけで、スタッフが音響関係の評論家、雑誌などにプロモーションを始め、やはり日本でも高い評価を得る事ができました。そしてそんな中からソニー(株)で音響設計一筋30年というオーディオ界のカリスマ金井 隆氏との出会いがありました。
今回のこのベストアルバムは過去3枚の"camomileシリーズ"から16曲をピックアップ。全曲リミックス、リマスタリングをSACD,マルチサラウンド(Hybrid)のフォーマットで実施。それをLe Couple時代から長い間藤田恵美を手がけているフリーのレコーディング・エンジニア阿部哲也氏とソニーの金井氏とが正に二人三脚で、品川のソニーにある金井氏の試聴室にて行っています。
