* Born in Sapporo in 1941.
* Studied under Shusetu Kano.
* Met Shoryu Morita and Yui Inoue and joined the Bokujin-kai (Ink People Association).
* Received the Bokujin Award in 1966 and became a member of the Bokujin-kai.
* Received the 준大賞 (Jun Taisho - Semi Grand Prize) at the "Japan Contemporary Calligraphy Exhibition."
* Lecturer for the NHK correspondence high school course "Ikkyu."
* Appeared in numerous calligraphy lectures and talk shows.
* Has also presented research such as "Kamigami no Sho" (The Calligraphy of Gods) and "Shojin no Kotoba ni Kiku" (Listening to the Words of Calligraphers), which examine the history of calligraphy from a unique perspective.
* His calligraphy work spans a wide range, including numerous collaborations and calligraphy performances with artists such as Kansai Yamamoto and Ryudo Uzaki.
* Held many solo exhibitions.
