At Zepp Haneda (TOKYO), from October 31 to November 28, every Saturday for 5 consecutive weeks, was held,
B'z's first no-audience streaming live, "B'z SHOWCASE 2020 -5 ERAS 8820- Day1~5".
In this first streaming live during the COVID-19 pandemic, the 32 years from debut in 1988 to 2020 were divided into "5 eras = 5 ERAS," and the live was structured using songs released in each era.
All songs were rotated across all five performances, performing about 80 songs including new songs. Not only were the setlists different, but the production and stage sets for each performance were also completely changed.
Holding five major rock spectacular shows that maximized the identity of the live band B'z became a hot topic!
They performed songs that hadn't been played in over twenty years, as well as popular hits from the second beat of singles, incorporating music video production and re-enactments of skits that are now quite rare,
showing the members' unfiltered sides that are usually unseen. Additionally, performances extended beyond the stage to the audience floor, backstage, and the elaborately decorated lobby and drink counters, using them as part of the production.
Special effects typical of rock shows, such as lasers and sparks, were used, and large LED screens covered all four walls. Despite being a live house, a large-scale arena-class set was used, with drones freely flying around, captivating viewers with staging unique to an audience-less show, ending in great success.
The final MC by Inaba, "An audience-less live is not an audience-less event," backed by the bond with the audience and overwhelming presence that overturned the concept of streaming live performances,
created a moving live performance that touched everyone's hearts, now eagerly packaged!
