Bulgari (BVLGARI) is a luxury jewelry brand founded in Rome, Italy, in 1884 by Greek-Italian Sotirio Bulgari.

The founder of Bulgari, Sotirio Bulgari, was born in 1857 into a family of successive silversmiths in Greece. From a young age, he observed the work of gold and silver craftsmen, gradually became interested in goldsmithing, and after moving to Rome, started a silverware business at Trinità dei Monti.

In 1884, he opened his first shop on Via Sistina in Rome, which is now considered the Bulgari main store. After Sotirio, his son Giorgio took over management, exploring the art of the Italian Renaissance and creating unique designs.

In the 1940s, they began developing wristwatches, and in the 1970s, opened stores in Paris, New York, Geneva, and other locations. In 1977, they launched the watch line 'Bulgari Bulgari,' which remains popular today.
