Bulgari (BVLGARI) is a luxury jewelry brand founded in Rome, Italy in 1884 by Greek-Italian Sotirio Bulgari.

The founder of Bulgari, Sotirio Bulgari, was born in 1857 into a family of successive silversmiths in Greece. From a young age, he observed the work of gold and silver craftsmen, gradually developed an interest in gold and silver craftsmanship, and after moving to Rome, started trading silverware at Trinità dei Monti.

In 1884, he opened his first shop on Via Sistina in Rome, which is now designated as the Bulgari main store. After Sotirio, his son Giorgio took over management, exploring Renaissance art in Italy and creating unique designs.
