当製品は火打石・火打金での火おこしをするときに非常に有効なチャークロス（布の炭）を作るための缶入り生布（帆布）です。缶ごとそのまま火にかけるだけで厚手のチャークロスを10枚作ることができます。【チャークロスとは？】昔ながらの火種用の炭で、火打石のような弱い火花から火種を作る時に使われる代表的な材料の一つ。赤熱したチャークロスをほぐした麻などの火口に包んで息をふきかけたり、振り回したりして酸素を送り込んであげれば温度があがり発火しますので、これを素に焚き火を開始させます。【チャークロスの作り方】缶をそのまま火にかけます。 家庭用ガスコンロでは、温度を感知し火が止まることがありますので、アウトドア用のストーブやたき火の利用をおすすめします。煙（燃焼ガス）が出始めますが、そのまま続けてください。十分な火力があると、缶から出た煙に引火します。これは正常な現象です。見た目には缶が燃えているように見えることもあります。フタが熱変形して開いてしまうことがありますが、慌てず木枝などを用いてフタを閉じてください。燃焼ガスが止まったら十分に自然冷却で冷ましフタを開けます。布が真っ黒に変色していれば完成です。火種として使用する際は小さくちぎってお使いいただくことをおすすめします。【ご注意】 ※チャークロス作成中の火傷には十分ご注意ください。※火から降ろした後の冷却が不十分なままフタを開けるとチャークロスが発火（赤熱）することがあります。直ぐにフタを閉め鎮火させてください。
