You were here ■After releasing the band’s seventh original album "RAY" in 2014, BUMP OF CHICKEN started the nationwide tour "BUMP OF CHICKEN TOUR 'WILLPOLIS 2014'" on April 5, 2014. With 13 cities, 20 performances, and 250,000 attendees, they performed at Tokyo Dome for the band’s first time on July 31. During this tour, they debuted the new song "You were here" written during the tour and a surprise performance of "ray" BUMP OF CHICKEN feat. HATSUNE MIKU in real-time collaboration with Hatsune Miku. ■The opening animation for this nationwide tour was produced by film director Takashi Yamasaki, who created a one-night-only Tokyo Dome version. Also, top creators currently active, including photographer Mika Ninagawa, flower artist Shin Azuma, Square Enix (creators of the Final Fantasy series), the emerging creative production "A4A" led by Atsunori Azuma, teamLab, AR Three Brothers, and others, each demonstrated their creativity as part of the production team, making it a special live event. ■The release of a tour documentary capturing the nationwide tour including the Tokyo Dome performance was decided for February 4, 2015! More than two years after the previous work "BUMPOF CHICKEN GOLD GLIDER TOUR 2012," "BUMP OF CHICKEN 'WILLPOLIS 2014'" will be released as a LIVE DVD & Blu-ray. Also, for the first time as BUMP OF CHICKEN, a documentary film following the nationwide tour titled "BUMP OF CHICKEN 'WILLPOLIS 2014' Theatrical Version" will be released from December 5, 2014! Shinichi Banba, who has been in charge of most of the band’s music videos since debut, directed and edited the tour documentary part, and Takashi Yamasaki produced the opening animation [Complete Version], which will be released as a double feature. The theatrical version of the "WILLPOLIS 2014" tour will include behind-the-scenes footage not available in the DVD/Blu-ray released the following February, along with additional special edits and an early reveal of the full opening animation! It depicts an epic journey of a boy searching for the fictional city "WILLPOLIS," with voice acting and motion capture by actors Tori Matsuzaka, Anne, Wasabi Mizuta, Koichi Yamadera, and others, who have expressed their fandom for BUMP OF CHICKEN and had a connection at this timing. ■Since their collaboration began with the 2006 single "Tears of the Hometown" and its tie-up CM & Music Video production, they have continued collaborating through works like the hit movies "Eternal Zero" and "STAND BY ME Doraemon," and director Takashi Yamasaki, who is preparing for the release of "Parasyte," is also involved in this full 3DCG animation.
