This is a 100% rush grass zabuton cushion made in Japan (Yashiro), suitable for daily use for worship, but especially recommended for priests during Buddhist memorial services.
Domestic rush grass is said to be resistant to sunburn and mold, and is durable and long-lasting.
A refreshing pattern of irises on the water surface is woven into the design. The border is adorned with a brocade fabric featuring a classic arabesque pattern.
