BRITASWEDEN（ブリタスウェーデン）は2010年に母親のMargaretha（マーガレッタ）、姉妹のPia（ピア）とMonica（モニカ）の親子3人によって設立された、テキスタイルブランドです。ブランド名になっている「BRITA（ブリタ）」とは、スウェーデンとフィンランドの国境近くにあるTornedalen（トルネダーレン：トルネの谷）で、織物、編み物、スクリーンプリント等の手工芸職人であったMargatethaの祖母の名前に由来しています。2007年、オーガニック素材の寝具、エプロンやテーブルクロスなどの、身近な暮らしを彩るモノ作りでスタートし、2009年にプラスチックラグを手掛けたところ人気を博し、家業は軌道に乗り始めました。そして、2010年にBRITASWEDENが誕生し、現在ではウールやコットン等の天然素材だけでなく、プラスチックフォイル、リサイクルPET等のエコ素材など、様々な材料でラグの展開を行なっている一方、デザインスタジオとしての活動を行なっています。BRITASWEDENのデザインは、北欧の豊かな自然、幼い頃に過ごしたTornedalen（トルネダーレン）の風景や思い出など、自然のカタチやカラーを取り入れたデザインには、彼らの優しい目線が伺えます。
