This is the second original soundtrack of the NHK morning drama series "Bugui," modeled after the post-war superstar Shizuko Kasagi.
Music by Takayuki Hattori. Includes 32 tracks such as the instrumental version of the theme song "Happy☆Boogie" and background music that colors important scenes of the drama.
Artist Profile
After graduating from the Paris National Conservatory of Music, returned to Japan in 1988, and arranged albums and concerts for a wide range of artists from pop (Masaharu Fukuyama, Ringo Shiina, Masayoshi Yamazaki, etc.) to classical (Yumiko Sameshima, Tōru Takemitsu, etc.).
As a composer, won the Japan Academy Prize for Excellent Music for three films: "Kura" (1996), "Abduction" and "Radio no Jikan" (both 1998).
In TV dramas, worked on "NHK Morning Drama - Suzuran," "HERO," "The King's Restaurant," NHK Taiga drama "Shinsengumi!," "Nodame Cantabile," "Karei naru Ichizoku," "Hanzawa Naoki," "Shitamachi Rocket," and "Sanadamaru" among others.
Musical "Okepi!" and commissioned work for Bunkamura, including the joint China-Japan production "Dance Drama Yang Guifei" with Shanghai City Dance Company.
Main theme for TBS's "THE World Heritage" in April 2008, music director for the 2010 Shanghai Expo "Japan Pavilion," music in charge of NHK Educational TV's "Hook Book Row" from April 2011, and more.
In 2015, worked on "Mobile Suit Gundam THE ORIGIN," and from 2018, on the "Doraemon" movie series.
Active as a composer across various genres including commercials and game music.
