The second volume of the original soundtrack for the serial TV drama "Boogie Woogie," modeled after postwar superstar Shizuko Kasagi.
Music by Takayuki Hattori. Includes 32 tracks such as the instrumental version of the theme song "Happy☆Boogie" and background music that colors important scenes of the drama.
Artist Profile
After graduating from the Paris National Conservatory of Music, returned to Japan in 1988, and arranged albums and concerts for a wide range of artists from pop (Masaharu Fukuyama, Ringo Shiina, Masayoshi Yamazaki, etc.) to classical (Yumiko Shimizu, Tōru Taki, etc.).
As a composer, won the Japan Academy Prize for Excellent Music for three films: "Kura" (1996), "Abduction" and "Radio no Jikan" (both 1998).
In TV dramas, worked on "NHK Asadora Suzuran," "HERO," "The King's Restaurant," NHK Taiga drama "Shinsengumi!," "Nodame Cantabile," "The Grand Family," "Hanzawa Naoki," "Shitamachi Rocket," and "Sanadamaru" among others. Also involved in musicals such as "Oke Pi!" and a joint China-Japan production "Dance Drama Yang Guifei" with Shanghai City Dance Company commissioned by Bunkamura. Main theme for TBS's "THE World Heritage" in April 2008, music director for the 2010 Shanghai Expo "Japan Pavilion," music supervisor for NHK Educational TV's "Hook Book Row" from April 2011, and involved in "Mobile Suit Gundam THE ORIGIN" (2015) and the "Doraemon" film series from 2018. Also active as a composer across various genres including commercials and game music.
