『ワイマール：民主主義の戦い』は、ワイマール共和国誕生後のドイツでの歴史と政治を体感できる、
シミュレーションゲームのシステムにインスパイアされたカードドリブンのユーロスタイルボードゲームです。
『ワイマール：民主主義の戦い』ではプレイヤーは当時の主要な政党のうち1つを率いてそれぞれの目標達成のために活動します。
政党：ドイツ社会民主党(SPD)、中央党(Zentrum)、ドイツ共産党(KPD)、 ドイツ国家人民党(DNVP)
社会民主主義者と保守派は若き民主主義を守ろうとして、共産主義者と国粋主義者はそれを崩壊させようとします。
闘争が共和国中で、そして議会で荒れ狂うのです。
170枚以上のカードが、当時の重要な出来事、政治家、発展を映し出します。
ゲームは最大6ラウンドに亘って行われ、各ラウンドは政策カードや政党カードや時系列カード等をプレイしてそのカードの内容で討論をしたりイベントが発生したりします。
ゲームの終了条件は、無政府状態になる、新政権を樹立し議席の半数を占める、ナチスの台頭を許す等多岐にわたります。
保守派はこれらの状態に陥らないように立ち回る必要がありますが、共産主義者と国粋主義者はむしろそれらを積極的に目指すことになります。
