On your turn, you first perform "Movement." You can move from space to space up to the kitten's stamina, and if there is a "paw print" there, you turn it face up. "Paw prints" represent items the kitten has found or creatures it has encountered, and you can perform actions on them. After finishing your movement, you perform an "Action" on the "paw print" in that space. For the action, you determine if the result of rolling the dice plus the kitten's skill can reach the target value indicated on the "paw print." If you reach it, it's a success, and you gain the respective effect. If you fail to reach it, you must move from that spot. However, kittens learn from failure, and their skills grow. This makes it easier to succeed at difficult goals over time, so let's challenge them bravely without fear of failure. By taking turns like this, you can earn medals by achieving the conditions on the mission cards in play and the conditions on your personal board. The kitten who collects the required number of medals or more first becomes the winner of the game. "Kyoto Cats" includes 7 scenarios in addition to the basic rules.
