『ヒート』は1960年代を舞台にした本格的なモータースポーツレースゲームです。
様々なカードを駆使して1戦のみのレースや、キャンペンモードも楽しめます。
あなたの目的は指定周回数コースを走り、チェッカーフラッグを先頭で駆け抜け表彰台の頂点に上がることです。
ゲームで車の操作はカードを用いて行います。
ラウンド毎に、プレイヤーはギアをシフトし、それによりこのラウンドでプレイするカードの枚数を決めます。
レースカーのスピードはこのカードの値の合計で、レースコースを進むスペース数となります。
プレイヤーはこのスピードを操作し、ポジションを争います。
レースゲームなのでスピードこそが最高に感じるでしょうから、高い値のカードを早めに数多くプレイしたくなるでしょう。
ただし、レースでは技術も必要です。
コーナーでの想定スピードに注意しなければレースカーはオーバーヒートを起こしますし、時にはスピンの危険もあります。
さらに上級モードでは天候により路面状況も変化し、レースがより深いものとなります。
