What is Golden Week?

🌸 April 29 - Showa Day (Showa no hi): This day honors the birthday of former Emperor Showa, who was really beloved. Fun fact: Until 2006, it used to be Greenery Day!

📜 May 3 - Constitution Day (Kenpo kinenbi): This marks the anniversary of Japan's postwar constitution coming into effect in 1947.

🌿 May 4 - Greenery Day (Midori no hi): Originally, this day was on April 29 but got moved. It's all about appreciating nature and green spaces. The Emperor himself was a big fan of plants!

🎏 May 5 - Children's Day (Kodomo no hi): This one's super cute! Families celebrate their sons' health and success by flying carp streamers and displaying samurai dolls. It's like a big wish for their future!
