Solely "Good Things"A Commitment to Pursuing the Finest Kabuto
Born in Asakusa, Tokyo in 1954. In 1972, he apprenticed under his father, the second generation Jitsusei, and in 1983, he succeeded to the name of the third generation Bessho Jitsusei. In 1993, he repaired the metal fittings of the long chest stored at Kawagoe Kita-in Temple.Since then, he has produced and exhibited numerous works, including the "Dōmaru Gusoku with Three Kuwagata Maedate Kabuto," Tokugawa Ieyasu's "Daikokuten Nuno-boshi Kabuto," Toyotomi Hideyoshi's "Black Urushi Maran no Kabuto," and Kuroda Nagamasa's "Black Ryōgin Kinpaku-oshi no Kabuto."In 2009, he expanded his activities by creating a replica of the "Kabuto of Saito Sanemori, a Treasure of Tada Shrine" in Komatsu City, Ishikawa Prefecture.
Even parts such as the kabuto bowl and small metal fittings, which are now mainly produced by machines, are all handmade by Jitsusei. We believe that handmade craftsmanship has a unique charm, both in the past and present.Slight imperfections, not perfectly straight, add a touch of the era when the kabuto was used and the flavor of handmade work.We visit museums, observe actual kabuto firsthand, conduct research, and consider how they were made before creating our own.As an armor craftsman, we are committed to continuously creating "items that satisfy our customers" and "the best possible items that I can make."
Made In Japan original works are complete. We are committed to producing Sekku dolls, which are guardians for each child, in Japan, and create them through detailed discussions with artisans one by one.We strive to improve quality so that they can be displayed for a long time, wishing for the healthy growth of your children.
