Nine years after the previous book, *"What It Means to Become a Working Adult,"*
and through the transition from Heisei to Reiwa amidst the COVID-19 pandemic,
the ways of working and living have changed significantly!
This book serves as a guide to navigate the era of change.

Due to societal shifts such as advanced information technology, globalization, and the pandemic,
the types of human resources required by society are also evolving.
The author, who manages multiple medical institutions as the director of a medical corporation and also serves as the principal of a vocational school training clinical laboratory technicians,
wants students to think about what it truly means to enter society and work,
before they step into the workforce.
In 2013, he wrote *"What It Means to Become a Working Adult"* (Gentosha),
and this book is a new edition reflecting the changes of the Reiwa era, rewritten to incorporate current times.
It is a book intended for those about to become working adults or who have just started,
and it aims to be a guide to living in this era of change.
