In January 1969, The Beatles' series of Get Back sessions culminated in the release of *Let It Be*. The recording sessions, documented alongside the film shoot, included the famous rooftop concert at Apple Studio after recording at Twickenham Studio. Subsequently, a *Get Back* album produced by Glyn Johns was planned, but its release was delayed and ultimately canceled, with the project handed over to producer Phil Spector. The album was finally released in 1970 as *Let It Be*, The Beatles' final album.

Until now, the *Get Back Masters* series from the DAP label has released multiple collections:
- Apple Studio edition (8 CDs)
- Complete Rooftop Concert (3 CDs)
- Twickenham Studio edition (8 CDs)

This latest release, *Last Sessions*, compiles original acetate recordings leading up to the completion of *Let It Be*, including additional sessions, film soundtrack sources, and various alternate mixes. It follows the process after the initial *Get Back* sessions, providing a comprehensive collection of source materials.

The first track, *Glyn John's Original Reference Acetate*, commonly known as *Kum Back*, features the first mix familiar from vintage analog bootlegs, recorded as a reference for the band to listen to at home. These acetate recordings differ in sound processing and editing from the later *Get Back* album produced by Glyn Johns, and are not included in the DX edition or other releases. This remastered version includes noise reduction for improved sound quality.

The *Different Mixes Collection* gathers various sources that were altered, overdubbed, remixed, or released after the initial sessions, including soundtrack versions for *Let It Be*, mixes from John Barrett, Anthology, and unreleased official sources such as orchestral overdubs for *Let It Be* and acetate mixes. It also includes tracks added during the transition from *Get Back* to *Let It Be*, such as "I Me Mine" and "Across The Universe," as well as orchestral overdubs added by Phil Spector. This collection serves as a supplementary finale to the *Get Back Masters* series, offering an original edited collection of these sources.
