Introducing "All These Years," a newly compiled anthology project that follows the history of The Beatles in chronological order. This content is an expanded and revised version of the 1995 Anthology project, which compiled the complete records of The Beatles—from their early days before their debut to their breakup—including live performances, studio sessions, demos, and unreleased tracks. This version focuses on upgraded sound sources, including recently unearthed audio, improved sound quality, extended edits, and mono-to-stereo conversions. This notable new series covers major live performances, studio sessions, and numerous rare recordings by era, bringing together the activity records of The Beatles in a newly edited "best selection."
The first installment of the "All These Years" series, VOL. I, titled "1957-1962," covers the early years leading up to the "Birth of The Beatles" and their major debut. CD 1 begins with the oldest existing sound source: the historic live recording of The Quarrymen at Woolton Church on the day John and Paul met in 1957. It also includes the first acetate recordings from the following year, home demos believed to have been recorded at Paul's house, and recording sessions where they served as the backing band for Tony Sheridan. CD 2 features the complete historic Decca Audition, legendary live performances and rehearsals at the Cavern Club, and iconic live recordings from the Star-Club during their time in Hamburg, Germany. This is the first volume of the anthology series summarizing the era leading up to their official EMI debut as The Beatles.
