レザークラフト製作時には
厚い革を薄くする”べた漉き”があります。
専用の革漉機もありますし
漉き屋さんにヌメ革の厚みを指定する事も出来ますが、
専用の機械は高いですし業者さんにもお金が掛かります。
でも豆カンナなら安価に購入出来て床面を漉く事が可能です。
分厚い革は、小物、特にお財布のカードケースの部分やマチの部分には向きません。
手作業で厚みのブレは多少出ますが、
レザークラフトの醍醐味の一つとしてみましょう。

カンナの調整
(1)刃の確認
刃は研がれていますが
実際うまく漉けない事があります。
そんな時は、砥石を使って研ぎましょう。
(2)刃の出方の調整
ネジを締める時に刃が押されてズレてしまいます。
木槌で叩いて微調整します。
