There is no choice but to fight.
69 years after the "Battle of Los Angeles," the day has finally come for "them" to land on Earth.
Unknown objects, believed to be a meteor shower, rain down across the globe. Unidentified beings appear on the coast and launch a fierce attack, causing cities to crumble. Los Angeles is also on the brink of destruction in an instant.
However, five civilians, including three children who were unable to escape, are left behind at the West Los Angeles Police Department.
Dispatched to rescue them is Marine Corps 2nd Platoon, 5th Squad, consisting of 10 members, led by Second Lieutenant Martinez, including Sergeant Nantz, who is nearing retirement; Corporal Rocket, who lost his brother under Nantz's command in the past; and Corporal Harris, who was about to get married. This is humanity's first offensive and defensive battle, a close-quarters fight against an invisible enemy.
In the ruined city, with sandstorms obscuring visibility, losing comrades one by one in intense urban warfare, and with no retreat route left, can they, and can humanity, survive!?
