Born in 1957 in Recife, Brazil.
Meneses has performed with major orchestras such as the Berlin Philharmonic, Vienna Philharmonic, London Symphony Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, Saint Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, Washington National Symphony Orchestra, NHK Symphony Orchestra, and others, collaborating with renowned conductors including Karajan, Muti, Previn, Shaye, Temirkanov, Mazzola, Gatti, and more.
He has also been invited to numerous music festivals such as the Casals Music Festival, Salzburg Festival, Prague Spring International Music Festival, Mostly Mozart, and Lucerne Festival. He is active in chamber music, performing with the Vermeer Quartet, Emerson Quartet, Maria João Pires, Menachem Pressler, and others. Meneses is also known as the last member of the legendary Beaux Arts Trio, along with Menachem Pressler and Daniel Hope.
